At the heart of our resort is the clubhouse, perched 300ft up on Isla Boca Brava, amidst lush tropical rainforest and abundant wildlife, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a view that takes you back in time to the age of the dinosaurs. From here we get a birds-eye perspective of our ‘Jurassic Park’, a fishing ground and landscape with an exaggerated scale, where everything is of a size seldom seen in our modern world.
Mounted on the walls of our clubhouse are monster fish replicas of our clients’ record-breaking catches. Suspended above our 16 seater main bar is a giant 451lb Broadbill Swordfish. The bar is fashioned from solid Panamanian teak, with an intimate evening ambiance, and dramatic panoramas as far as the eye can see. This is where we enjoy pre-dinner drinks, relax in the adjacent lounge and dine on some of the finest cuisine in Panama.
The clubhouse is equipped with a 65” Samsung Smart TV to watch satellite movies or sports channels, along with a selection of board games, coffee table books, and a humidor for our custom blended Panama Big Game Cigars.
Should you have to stay in contact with the outside world we have a fully equipped business centre, including desktop computers (iMac 27” and touch screen HP PC), reliable internet (2 ISP providers), resort wide Wifi for free use, photocopier, printer and scanner plus a Brother super hi-def photo printer/scanner.
Step out of our clubhouse on to the terrace, where an awe-inspiring view across the water to the mainland awaits. And it gets better; a spiral staircase leads you to our watchtower, with a 360-degree vista of the island and Pacific Ocean.
Others prefer the view from the heated jacuzzi elevated above the infinity-edged pool, with its Tall Tails bar. Enjoy one of our barman’s famous cocktails as you relax and cool off after a hard day’s fishing, admiring some of the best views in Panama.
By far the most popular activity after the day’s fishing is joining the other guests at the swim-up pool bar, enjoying friendly banter and swapping fishing stories while enjoying gourmet snacks freshly prepared by our executive chef. Guests frequently use this time to view their videos and photos of the day’s action on the 55” Smart TV, situated poolside. This venue is so popular that some guests even ask for their evening meal to be served here.
Of course, if you’re not fishing, the pool, clubhouse and terrace are perfect for relaxing, enjoying the sunshine, and being pampered by our attentive staff.
